Artist's Comments

Picture done in pencil.

Re-scanned at an attempt to get the picture to look more like what it actually does and took off the color. Still need to work on a bit of detail when I get the drive to go back into it. If anybody can do a good color overlay, feel free.

Another attempt at a drawing for :iconnightyicons: story 'Redemption' found at [link]

Thundercracker acting very...er... an attempt at casual here, while he waits for the right moment to execute his plan.

It gave me something to do while the rest of the family watched 3 hours worth of Christmas Eve football.

....try laying down color more intensely, next time.

the colors will become more metallic, and less stony.

Thanks for the suggestion :) The picture is still in penciled B&W only with a Photoshop color overlay on a very low opacity. I suck at coloring for the most part and thought it'd help clarify who the character was.

What you draw, paint,or what you create, tells what is I'n your mind, and lets any one who sees, see you your passion, anger,or desire,we are all diferent,we are all ugly yet beautiful, and your uglyness, and beauty will apear in your work, but we are all equal.

the easiest way i know to learn to color is to use
A. prismacolor pencils
and
B. prismacolor markers

theyre pretty expensive, but they let you get the metalic look and smooth shading i think youre looking for.

Wow, this looks great. :) He looks so casual...except not! ;) I can see the tension in his posture, even though he's trying to be all loose, so great job with that. I love it! Thank you so much for doing more art based on my story. I very, very much appreciate it. This is so very much better than football. ;)

*contemplates color...still have that technique I haven't mastered for coloring already-shaded art... Hmmmmmm....*
:iconfolkeye:
Yes, yes.. MUCH better than football. :D Glad you like him. I do really enjoy doing the pictures it does help me practice thats for sure. Like I said before, having the inspiration in the first place really helps a lot too. I'm sure there will be some more perhaps I shall tackle that Cliffjumper scene you recommended... could be quite fun and quite the challenge.

:giggle: Yeah, Casual... like a bomb waiting to go off. ;)

You did wonderful shading here and good lineart. I'm still trying to figure out how to draw the Seekers correctly-- good job! :D

What..? I'm only crazy to keep my sanity... :dygel:

Thanks :D They're tough buggers to draw for me and let me say having a few small toys for reference helps greatly.

:O Oh I agree completely on that mark.... I have quite the Starscream collection partly for that reason!
